Friends of the Monastery
Friends of the Monastery was established in 2004 in response to those wanting to offer consistent financial support for the monastery. This can be in the form of recurring donations (at least once a month), or donations totaling at least $300 per year. If you would like to participate in Friends of the Monastery, we will mail you a spiritual reflection each month in gratitude for your ongoing support. At the end of the year, we will provide you with a tax-deductible receipt listing your donations given throughout the course of the year.
We encourage all who participate in the Friends of the Monastery to provide us with the names of your loved ones who are Orthodox so that they may be included in the Holy Liturgies throughout the year.
You can make an online donation using your credit card or PayPal account. Please note if you wish your donation to be used for a specific purpose (i.e. memorial gifts, publications, etc.)

A WORD OF GRATITUDE
When Jesus lifted up His eyes, and saw a great company come unto Him, He saith unto Philip, ‘Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?’ One of His disciples saith unto Him, ‘There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes, but what are they among so many?’ Then He took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, He blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled. (John 6:5, 9; Luke 9:16, 17)
Through the years, there have been kind donors who shared with us comments such as, “I don’t know if my little donation is really of any great help.” And the above passage from the Gospels readily comes to mind. Our monastery did not have as a foundation a strong financial base. In fact, it began with just a few barley loaves. But by the exceedingly good will of many, in seemingly small ways, the Lord has multiplied all the loving gifts we have received regardless of their size. The Lord Himself blesses them, breaks them, and gives them to feed the multitude. And all are filled.
Over time, the monastery has continued to grow, nourished on those initial small loaves, enabling it to shoulder major construction projects, including the catholicon and the new dormitory project.
To all who have and will step forward, extending yourself in support of the monastery, we offer our sincerest gratitude. Several years ago when we began the construction of the catholicon it took a great leap of faith on our part. And our faith was not just in our merciful Lord and His Most Holy Mother, but also faith in the good will of God-loving Christians to support us in this cause. And the faithful did and do continue to respond. Please know that your financial support is really of great help to us and we humbly thank you from our hearts.
